My name is Pablo, and I'm a front-end engineer.
I have over eight years of experience helping business grow developing human-friendly web applications with React, and lately, Next.js.
Everything started at GSOFT in 2017.
My journey as a professional developer didn't started with React, but with Java Server Pages, jQuery and Bootstrap as a full-stack developer, doing raw SQL queries.
I worked for two years developing new features for an electronic invoicing app (Factura Express), fixing production bugs, creating reports and doing customer support.
In 2019, I joined Ascentis (now UKG).
I joined as a junior software engineer, and I learned React to contribute in the general HR and Payroll systems offered by the company.
I got in love with BEM and Sass while helping with the rebranding process of the company.
I was having the time of my life, 'til the COVID pandemic started...
In May 18th 2020, I started working for Onetree as a React Developer.
I worked mostly in internal products for the Inter-American Development Bank, for the Regional Country Department Caribbean (CCB) team.
My previous experience with React helped me a lot to dominate the SPFx framework to develop SharePoint Webparts, doing some sort of full-stack development; I also had to learn tools like Azure Logic Apps/Power Automate to trigger automatic processes.
Starting February 2022, a new journey as a Senior Engineer started with GoGrow.
I've mostly worked in marketplaces, and even built some myself from scratch!
I can proudly say I worked for Builtfirst, Fresh Street and Go Bike Go, improving my skills with Next.js, TailwindCSS, and learning new tools like Algolia and Typesense.
I grew and learned a lot with these experiences, and got promoted to Engineering Lead to guide, mentor and help other developers.
